Davis

A couple of months ago, we dined at DAVIS which is a hidden gem in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera the first time around, but after their impressing food, we had to go back!
Cool exterior. (Sorry for the blurry picture, it was raining and I couldn't balance both the camera and umbrella)
Love the hominess of the restaurant, lots of wood and stone. They also have a really nice walk-in wine cellar (which I forgot to take).
The board on the bottom is the daily special menu.
Cute decor. Love hydrangeas too!
The fish dish was amazing last time so we attampted another. Its nice because they automatically split the dishes for us.
This was on their daily special menu, Panfried Red Tile Fish with Aubergine (甘鯛のうろこ焼き). The fish was cooked to perfection.. so delicious!
Aside from the amazing dining experience previously, another reason I HAD to go back was to eat this, Homemade Pasta with Guinea Fowl and Broad Beans (ホロホロ鳥と空豆の手打ちパスタ). Last time we tried ordering it and it was already sold out. It was everything and much more than what I had expected... so much flavor!
Washed it down with an ice cold bottle of Sauvignon Blanc.
(We also shared a green salad with balsamic vinaigrette)
Ended the meal sharing this Flourless Gorgonzola Chocolate Cake. It was good, but it had too much cheese and was quite intimidating, flavor-wise. The last time I ordered their Caramel Pudding, which I personally liked more.
