Serious Pie is a pizzeria owned by Tom Douglas. I had never heard of him until this trip, but he pretty much built a restaurant empire in downtown Seattle. Luckily, we were staying right by Serious Pie and when we saw the line on the night of our arrival, it was definitely on our list to try.
We only had breakfast that day so we came for happy hour.
Interior.
Menu.
I had a glass of an Italian white wine called, est! est!! est!!! and really enjoyed it.
Guanciale, Soft Egg & Arugula Mini Pizza
Garlic Sausage, Prosser Eggplant & Rustico Mini Pizza
The pizzas were amazing. The combination of the flavors of the toppings and the super light crust (crispy exterior and chewy interior). Superb.
It was so good that before we headed to the airport, my sister and I went back again for an early dinner.
Buffalo Mozzarella & San Marzano Tomato (left)
House Salumi, Wala Wala Onions & Sardegna (right)
Flawless!
Definitely recommended when in Seattle. Especially their happy hour because the pizzas are so reasonably priced at $5!
